RockTitle: Rock
Series: Saikano
Song: Simon and Garfunkel - I am a Rock

My first completed video, hadn't done any Premier work for over two years. Capture was bad, editing subpar. Some things didn't fit. The concept was pretty good, I just didn't pull it off as well as I could have. I may redo this one at some point.

Free My SoulTitle: Free My Soul
Series: .hack video games (INFECTION, MUTATION, OUTBREAK, and QUARRANTINE)
Song: Evanescence - Bring Me To Life (Daredevil soundtrack version)

Hmm... there's something about Evanescence music that's, well, I guess a little to emo for me is the way to put it. Even the solo version of this song, I don't really like much. But this duet version from Daredevil I like a lot (I haven't even seen the movie lol), so I decided to use it for a video.
This is when I first started to notice the problems with encoding with Premier. The video is riddled with rendering errrors, and I was never able to render a perfectly clean copy. I have found the problem though, so will be redoing this video once I recapture all the footage (still need to recapture the QUARRANTINE footage, I've got the first 3 discs captured)
Toy SoldiersTitle: Toy Soldiers
Series: Chobits, Saber Marionette J
Song: Martika - Toy Soldiers

Comments:
This video probably would have been all Saber if I owned Saber Marionette J to X. But I don't, so I decided to have a little fun and experiment. This is the end result, a sporadic assembly of Saber and Chobits.
This video turned out fairly well, and have gotten several of my viewers say that they like it a lot, but I really wanted more to have fun with this video than to make something that was forced to be good.

The above were the first generation videos, captured on an AMD Athlon XP 2700+ machine with a Pinnacle PCTV Rave TV Tuner. The ones from here on are made on an AMD64 3200+ machine, with footage either captured through S-Video with a Leadtek PVR2000 MCE TV Tuner, or taken from raw footage.

As to why I capture instead of do all digital footage, it's because working with ripped footage takes the fun out of it. You have to rip from the DVD, convert it, edit it, convert it again, all stuff that takes a lot of time. Capturing footage, on the other hand, is more exciting, and is more passionate.

Above videos all have the old Voice Project logo. The following videos all use the new, current, final Voice Project logo.

RockTitle: I Don't Belong Here
Series: AIR The TV
Song: Radiohead - Creep (Bonus Track)

Comments:
This is a series that'll probably never get a state-side release. It was a new series that aired the beginning of this year, so I had RAW AVI's of it instead of having to capture footage.
The biggest problem I had with this is the fact that, from the way it sounded to me anyway, there are 3 characters in the song. The person who's singing, who I chose to be Misuzu, the person who the singer is singing to, who I chose to be Yukito, and a third person, in the shift before the last chorus. The line's "she's running out again, she's running out, she runs, runs, runs, runs..." I ended up chosing Misuzu's mom Haruka for that part, and slowing down a clip of, well, her running. I think it looked good in the end, but that part seems really out of place. Not my fault, it's the song's problem.
